Afsin-Elbistan A Thermal Power Plant

According to the EIA report for the Afsin-Elbistan A Thermal Power Plant, which has been presented at the Ministry of the Environment, the levels of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide emitted by the power plant are conforming to the air quality limits. It has been put forward that the Ministry of the Environment and the MENR have agreed on the exemption of the power plant from environmental standards for a period of 5 years.

EUAS’s Afsin-Elbistan A Thermal Power Plant Rehabilitation Project. During the negotiations held with the World Bank, EUAS has made the official request for the $250 million loan to be used for the rehabilitation of the Afþin-Elbistan A Thermal Power Plant, the first thermal power plant of Turkey. Out of the loan, for which the Treasury will be the guarantor, $190 million will be allocated for the turn-key rehabilitation works
